No, I’m not talking about your body weight. I’m talking about the weight you carry around with you in your purse.
Give it to me straight – how heavy is your purse?
If your arm/shoulder gets tired from carrying it around as you run errands, it’s probably too much. What is all that stuff in there anyways?
A recent study showed the average purse weighs in around 6 pounds! So basically, you’re walking around with a 6lb dumbbell on your arm everywhere you go.
We’re all about increasing movement and adding exercise in wherever you can. Here’s a fun way to put your heavy-ish bag to good use

Purse Workout
Complete 4 rounds of the following:
- Kettlebell swings x20
- Side lunge with pressout x20 (10 each side)
- Upright row x20
- Squat with Press and Twist x20 (10 each side)
Rest as needed.
